A woman went into a pet store and asked for 300 cockroaches.
The shop owner said, “I can do that, but if you don’t mind me asking, why on earth would you want 300 cockroaches?”
The woman replied, “Well, I’m moving today, and my lease says I must leave the place in the same condition that I found it.”
The Good News is that God does not leave us the way he found us. Leighton Ford was right: “God loves us the way we are, but too much to leave us that way.”
Ezekiel was an Old Testament prophet who confronted the carnage of a nation who had not walked with God. God gave his people a fresh message through the prophet. “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26).
Recovery Step: Come to God as you are. But don’t be content to stay that way.
