As everybody knows, bees are currently at risk due to colony collapse disorder. Gary Schempp did something about it. He saved 30,000 bees from certain death by creating a better place for them to live, then transported them to their new home. At last check, the bees were still buzzing over their new digs.
Now I’m all for saving bees. Without bees, we wouldn’t have honey, and without honey, no one would eat the rolls at Cracker Barrel. So I’m all in for bees.
But while we should save all the bees we can, we actually have a higher being. God calls us to direct people to him. Those mired in sin and addiction are without hope apart from Christ.
The Bible says, “Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover over a multitude of sins” (James 5:20).
Here’s your challenge. Ask God to direct you to someone in need of sobriety, recovery, and most importantly, Jesus.
Recovery Step: For someone in your life, you may be God’s best option in leading them to the truth. The next move is yours.
