Satirist Tom Lehrer commented, “It is a sobering thought that when Mozart was my age, he had been dead for two years.”
Born in the Holy Roman Empire in 1756, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived just 35 years. But in those 35 years, he composed more than 600 works and is still considered perhaps the most prolific composer of all time.
The key to life is not how long you live, but how well you live.
To live a life that really counts, I suggest you try the following – every day.
- Do one thing for someone who has no means to repay you.
- Set aside a few minutes to connect with your Higher Power.
- Take one step in the direction of recovery.
The Bible says, “Whatever you do, do it to the glory of God” (Colossians 3:17).
Recovery Step: Don’t worry about how long you live. Focus on how well you live. Starting today.
