Genesis 4:3 reads, “And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering to the Lord.”
That was the first “It came to pass” in the Bible. But not the last. The Bible says it 463 times: “It came to pass.”
I have claimed that promise many times in my life. I was declared legally blind at age 15. I lost my dad as a teenager. I endured physical and sexual abuse as a child. And each experience “came to pass.”
I am also grateful for dozens of kidney stones that “came to pass.”
Write this on your forehead – your present is not your future. Whatever struggles, sins, and setbacks you have experienced in life will come to pass.
Recovery Step: Rejoice in this – your present is not your future. It will come to pass.
