Do you know anyone who wants to be right all the time? Someone who thinks they are smarter than everyone else? That is probably most of us.
Isaac Asimov said, “People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.”
One of the most important things in recovery is to accept that you don’t know it all. Remain teachable. Never stop growing. At every meeting and in every book, you can learn something new. Listen more than you talk. Do a little bit of recovery work every day.
James offered sound advice when he said, “Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will lift you up” (James 4:10).
Recovery Step: Never stop growing. Never stop learning. Never stop recovering.
