There’s an interesting verse in the Book of Lamentations. “The crown has fallen from our head” (Lamentations 5:16).
Have you lost your crown? Were you walking in victory, sobriety, and recovery, only to have the crown fall off your head?
The Journal of American Medical Association tells us that 40-60 percent of all addicts suffer major relapse at some point in their recovery.
The crown falls off their head.
I know three things about relapse:
- Anyone can do it.
- No one has to do it.
- Relapse is a process, not an event.
Recovery Step: Remain diligent in all you do, lest your crown fall off your head.
