Are you going through a “down” time right now? Is life a struggle? Is your sobriety in jeopardy? If you are walking through a valley this week, take heart. God has you right where he wants you.
Oswald Chambers said, “If a man cannot prove his religion in the valley, it is not worth anything.”
Duke Ellington added, “A problem is your chance to do your best.”
You really have only two choices. You can toss in the towel and accept your plight. Or you can rise up and do something about it.
Recovery Step: I suggest you rise up and do something about it. Follow this simple formula: (a) define the problem, (b) brainstorm the solutions, (c) develop a plan, and (d) put that plan to action. And one more thing – “Trust in him at all times” (Psalm 62:6).
