The resurrection is the hinge on which the door of the Gospel swings.
Yale professor and theologian Jaroslav Pelikan said, “If Christ is risen, nothing else matters. And if Christ is not risen, nothing else matters.”
Paul affirmed this sentiment: “If Christ be not risen, your faith is in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:14).
If you doubt the resurrection, I suggest you pick up a copy of Lee Strobel’s classic book, The Case for Christ. For those of us who have studied the evidence and been touched by its power, the resurrection is everything.
Enter addiction.
Nothing can seem so daunting as the power of addiction. But as strong as addiction can be, its grip is loosened by the One who rose again. God has done his part – the resurrection. Now you must do your part – surrender.
Recovery Step: Surrender to the One who has provided a way out.
