In 1970, Arnold Palmer played golf with the king of Saudi Arabia. After their time together, the king wished to express his appreciation to the golfing legend. He asked Palmer if there was anything he could give him as a token of his appreciation.
Palmer said, “I guess if you really want to, you can give me a golf club.”
A couple of weeks passed, and Arnold Palmer received a small package from Saudi Arabia, at his home. When he opened it, he read the card, which said, “A gift from the king.” Then he discovered inside that card was his gift – a certificate proving ownership of a golf club in Saudi Arabia. All 18 holes.
“God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).
Recovery Step: When you pray, remember the size of your king. While you are praying for a golf club, God is waiting to give you – a golf club!
