For every person who (a) has an infant, and (b) wants clean floors, Kenji Kawakami is your hero.
The Japanese inventor created “Baby Mops.” His creation is quite simple, but effective. The contraption consists of a bunch of tiny mops, which can be attached to the baby’s clothing, so that when the infant crawls across the floor, his body movement causes the mops to clean the floor behind him.
Have you left a mess behind you? With all due respect to Mr. Kawakami, I humbly suggest that we spend too much time trying to clean up what’s behind us.
Jesus met a woman who had a past – a rather colorful past. But rather than rehashing the details of her sexual sins, Jesus surprised everyone when he gave the woman five simple words.”
“Go and sin no more” (John 8:11).
Recovery Step: Make amends. Then turn the page and move on. Let God clean up what’s behind you. Your mop isn’t big enough to do the job, anyway.
