A friend was driving his car when the unthinkable happened. A wheel literally fell off his car. Predictably, the car came to an immediate stop.
So how did this happen? It was simple, really. The signs were all there – wobbly wheels, funny sounds, etc. But the problem sounded expensive to the driver, so he drove on.
Until he couldn’t.
For too many of us, we drive on wobbly tires until the wheels come off. The answer is to slow down and check our wheels from time to time. As Solomon said, “Everyone who is hasty comes to poverty” (Proverbs 21:5).
Recovery Step: Do two things before your wheels come off: (a) regular inspections, and (b) frequent alignments. Stay proactive. Don’t wait until everything falls apart.
