The beautiful Bridger Wilderness Park in Wyoming offers amazing hikes and views. But for some people, every day is just another opportunity to complain.
The park has suggestion boxes scattered throughout, inviting hikers to write down any concerns or complaints they may have. Here are a couple of recent comments they received in the boxes:
“Avoid constructing trails that go uphill.”
“Add chairlifts so you can see the view without having to climb.”
That is how many of us go through life. We murmur. We complain. We are never satisfied.
Sometimes life’s greatest moments are only found after an uphill climb. So get hiking.
Elijah found some of his greatest success after a hike. One example is found in 1 Kings, when “Elijah went a day’s journey into the wilderness” (1 Kings 19:4).
