Church is good for your marriage.
Brian Hollar, an Associate Professor at Marymount University, wrote, “For nearly fifty years, people who attend church regularly marry at much higher rates and, for a majority of the population, those who attend church frequently also divorce at lower rates than the rest of the population.”
One study found that the divorce rate among people who don’t attend church is 70 percent higher than for those who do.
Jesus spoke on the importance of laying a solid foundation. He said, “Everyone who hears my teaching and applies it to his life can be compared to a wise man who built his house on an unshakable foundation” (Matthew 7:24-27).
Recovery Step: Build your marriage on a solid foundation. Go to church.
