One fellow asked his friend, “How are you doing?”
His friend: “Pretty good, under the circumstances.”
Fellow: “What are you doing there?”
None of us has to live under our circumstances. We can live above them.
God uses your circumstances. Oswald Chambers said, “It is misleading to imagine that we are developed in spite of our circumstances; we are developed because of them.”
When Paul calls us to be men and women of “character” (Romans 5:4), he uses a word that means, “tested and proven reliable.”
God wants to use each of your circumstances to create a person who is just that – tested and proven reliable.
Recovery Step: Let your circumstances create in you the person you were created to be.
