The date was December 27, 2000. For those of you who aren’t so gifted in mathematics, that makes that 20 years ago today. Here’s what happened.
Hockey legend Mario Lemieux scored a goal and had two assists, leading the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-0 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Not a big deal, except for one thing.
Lemieux was playing his first game 3.5 years.
Everyone loves a good comeback. Sports is full of them. Of course, the greatest comeback of all time happened the day Jesus rose from the dead.
Jesus did that so you can have a comeback story. No matter how far you have fallen or what you have done, you can have an incredible future. Because Jesus came back you can come back. Freedom and recovery can be yours.
Recovery Step: “Greater is he who is in [you] than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Claim that promise and walk in victory today!
