Satan’s primary attacks will be on your mind. These are the thoughts he will try to implant:
- Doubt: “Did God really say that?”
- Discouragement: “You’ll never get better.”
- Delay: “You can go to a meeting tomorrow.”
- Difficulty: “Recovery is too hard.”
- Denial: “You can do this yourself.”
- Depression: “You aren’t worthy.”
So what’s the answer? The answer is to carry a shield that is capable of protection from these darts. The Bible calls it a “shield of faith.”
Paul wrote, “At all times, carry faith as a shield, for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one” (Ephesians 6:16).
Recovery Step: Expect the darts. Be ready. Raise your shield of faith.
