You fall into one of three camps:
- Disqualified
- Unqualified
- Qualified
For those of us who have messed up, we are often tossed to the curb. We are considered by many to be disqualified from serving God. For others, we never had what it takes in the first place, meaning we are unqualified to serve. Only a special few – with great gifts and impeccable character – are considered qualified.
The Hebrew word for this is bologna.
Paul wrote, “Give yourselves completely to God – every part of you – for you are back from death and you want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for his good purposes” (Romans 6:13).
Translation – nothing you have ever done either qualifies or disqualifies you from serving God. And you are not unqualified if you are a child of the King.
Recovery Step: God created you and Jesus died for you. That’s all you need to know.
