Rod Stewart said, “Instead of getting married again, I’m going to find a woman I don’t like and give her a house.”
We live in the golden age of divorce. One of the key contributors of marital disharmony is sexual addiction. Psychologist Revel Miller has identified several impacts of infidelity. They include:
- Shock
- Anger
- Shattered trust
- Insecurity
- Isolation
- Anxiety
- Withdrawal
If your marriage has been rocked by sexual betrayal, this creates major chaos. The same Bible that says, “You shall not commit adultery” (Exodus 20:14) also says, “God hates divorce” (Malachi 2:16).
A word to the sex addict: Get help now!
A word to the spouse: Get help now! Don’t let your spouse’s problem define you. The road ahead will be hard, but with God’s grace, therapy, and diligence, you can make it.
Recovery Step: God offers hope and healing. Lean into him today.
