“Seek the Lord while he may be found” (Isaiah 55:6).
Isaiah had connected with God and been given a peek into what was to come. The closeness he had experienced with God undoubtedly caused him to want others to experience him intimately, too. Through Isaiah, the Lord told his people to seek him with their whole hearts so that he could unlock the blessings of heaven. To seek God is our highest calling.
There are many causes worthy of our ventures:
- Sobriety
- Recovery
- Family
- Purity
- Wholeness
But none of these rise to the level of our highest calling. “Seek the Lord while he may be found.”
Recovery Step: Don’t wait. Respond while there is time, while God is still calling. “Seek the Lord while he may be found.”
