Here’s a promise that should capture the heart of every addict:
“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!” (Psalm 32:1-2).
Notice the four-part process of redemption.
Our disobedience is forgiven.
Our sin is put out of sight.
We have been cleared of guilt.
We live in complete honesty.
God’s part is forgiveness, salvation, and a new start. Your part is to live a life of honesty. That’s it – total honesty. The psalmist uses the word, “complete.”
Recovery Step: Partial honesty is dishonesty. You’ve got to get this right.
