You will never find recovery apart from your Higher Power.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote, “At this moment of lust God loses all reality. Satan does not fill us with hatred of God, but with forgetfulness of God.”
Many of us have become what Craig Groeschel calls a “Christian atheist.” We believe in God, but when it comes to our daily lives, we walk away from our morning devotions as if God did not exist.
I encourage you to work the 12 Steps. Check out my 90-Day Recovery Program. Get in one of my Freedom Groups. Do a clinical disclosure. Sponsor a new person in recovery. Do the work that is required in order to get well.
But along the way, don’t forget about God.
Recovery Step: Take a moment to reconnect with God – right now.
