I’m sure you’re familiar with the story of David and Goliath. A young boy did what the strongest men in his nation could not do – he took down the giant.
You will recall that he brought five rocks to the fight. “David took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, and put them in his pouch” (1 Samuel 17:40).
David would only need one rock. So why did he bring five?
Answer: David had imperfect faith.
But God honored him anyway.
No one has perfect faith. And I have never met a man or woman who implemented a perfect recovery plan. Here’s my suggestion. Do what David did. Bring more rocks to the battlefield than you will actually need.
Recovery Step: Don’t wait until you have a perfect plan to enter the battle. And when in doubt, bring more weapons into the arena than you will actually need.
