The MercyMe song from 2014 has become one that I listen to multiple times each week. I suggest you watch it on YouTube, as the visuals are most powerful. Here are a few of the lyrics.
No matter the bumps
No matter the bruises
No matter the scars
Still the truth is
The cross has made
The cross has made you flawless.
Mo matter the hurt
Or how deep the wound is
No matter the pain
Still the truth is
The cross has made
The cross has made you flawless.
The Bible says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
Recovery Step: Go find the video of Flawless, or at least listen to it somehow. Then pause and thank God that, despite your past, your problems, and your pain, you are flawless.
