Don’t focus so much on recovery.
Huh? I meant what I just said – don’t focus so much on recovery. Instead, focus on the things you must do that result in recovery.
Here’s why. Who you are tomorrow is the predictable outcome of the things you do today. Charles Stanley was right: “Where you are today is the result of something you did yesterday.”
Your job is to make the next right decision today. Get to a meeting today. Read recovery material today.
As you live in the present, the Word of God will come alive in you. “You will eat the fruit of your labor” (Psalm 128:2).
Recovery Step: Heed the words of Robert Louis Stevenson. “Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.”
