From the days of your birth
Till you ride in the hearse,
Things are never so bad
That they couldn’t get worse.
How’s that for starting your day on a high note?
The bad news is, things can always get worse. But the Good News is that things can always get better. And that is God’s plan.
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
Let me give you two tips for a better future.
- Walk with the God you know, not the one you see.
- Remember his faithfulness.
Recovery Step: George MacDonald said, “I find that doing the will of God leaves me no time for disputing about his plans.” Commit your day to doing God’s will. Then get up again tomorrow and do it again.
