Did you collect baseball cards as a kid? Are those cards boxed up in the attic? After reading this, you might want to take another look at those cards. One particular card could change your life.
The T206 Honus Wagner card is considered the most valuable card ever produced, drawing as much as $10 million per card. It was initially designed and issued by the American Tobacco Company. Wagner refused to allow production because he didn’t want children to buy cigarette packs to get his card. As a result, less than ten cards exist today, and each is worth a fortune.
Honus Wagner is to be congratulated for taking a stand against tobacco at a time when few others did. He exemplified Proverbs 10:9, “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”
Let me ask you three questions.
- What are you willing to do to take a stand?
- Are you willing to be mocked because of your faith?
- Do you value your sobriety when no one else does?
Recovery Step: Do the right thing, whether others do or not.
