Noah’s ark took 43,800 days to build. It was the length of one and a half football fields, and designed at a ratio of 30:5:3, which designers use to this day. If the average animal had been a sheep, the ark could house 125,000 animals. Have you visited the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.? You could put 60 National Zoos on Noah’s ark.
But 43,800 days at one task? Noah had to be the first recipient of the lifetime achievement award.
The Bible says, “Let us run with perseverance” (Hebrews 12:1).
Notice three things from this verse.
- We are in a team sport. (“Let us.”)
- We are to go all in. (“Let us run.”)
- We are to never give us. (“Let us run with perseverance.”)
Recovery Step: Whether you build arks for a living, or answer some other calling, embrace one word – perseverance.
