“I have a mustard seed, and I know how to use it!”
– God
Mustard seeds aren’t that impressive. They are just 0.1 inches in diameter. But mustard trees can reach heights of 30 feet, with branches 20 feet long.
You know the verse: “If you have the faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible to you” (Matthew 17:20-21).
Here’s what I’ve learned about faith. What matter is not the size of our faith, but the object of our faith.
In recovery, we must turn to the One who can do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. God won’t do recovery without me. And I can’t do recovery without him. That doesn’t require any big steps, just small steps in the right direction.
Recovery Step: Take one step in the right direction today.
