Do you need to lose a few pounds? Chances are, the answer is yes. The average person weighs 35 pounds more than the average person weighed 60 years ago. The average man stands 5’9” and weighs 198 pounds, with women at 5’4” and 171 pounds.
So how do you lose weight? Here’s one simple trick.
In the largest and longest weight-loss study ever conducted, those who kept a food diary lost twice as much weight as those who didn’t. Lesson: If you want to break records, you have to keep records.
The same is true with sexual sobriety, overcoming trauma (because of your spouse’s addiction), and anything else worth accomplishing. Keep good records. Write down a Recovery Plan or a Safety Plan. Then visit this plan every few days, to make sure you are staying on track.
