But this isn’t a column on charging the next hill, making the next dollar, or curing the next disease. No, it’s about something more important than that.
Bring passion to your spiritual connection. Seek God with greater passion than you seek money, happiness, or – get ready for this – recovery.
Israel’s great king didn’t pray for personal success. Instead, he prayed, “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water” (Psalm 63:1).
Recovery Step: Bring all the passion you can muster to one thing – a daily, dynamic, personal relationship with the God of the universe.
