Your past performance is no guarantee of future success.
If Jesus was sitting there with you in place of your device, he would say what he has already said: “Take no thought about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought about the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the trouble thereof” (Matthew 6:34).
Translation: take it one day at a time.
Debra Aiken writes, “Worry adds nothing to our lives, but it takes everything away.”
As you move forward in your recovery, marriage, or just life in general, remember the story of the manna in the Old Testament. For 40 years, God provided food for his children in the wilderness – one day at a time.
That’s how you will win this battle – one day at a time.
Recovery Step: I leave you with three thoughts: (a) one day at a time, (b) one day at a time, (c) one day at a time.
