One night, a young boy was frightened by a powerful thunderstorm outside his house. The next morning, at breakfast, he asked his father, “Where was God last night in the middle of the storm?” His father answered, “God was busy making morning.”
Are you walking through a storm right now? Are you surrounded by darkness? Two things are certain.
- God is busy making morning.
- You are not alone.
The psalmist asked, “Where can I go from your Spirit, or where can I flee from your presence?” (Psalm 139:7).
Everyone walks through storms from time to time. For many of us, the storms were of our own doing. But that doesn’t make us any less wet. If you are walking in the rain, in the darkness, or both, remember this – morning is coming.
Recovery Step: Be patient. Walk with God. Morning is coming.
