It happens a lot. Your wife has left town. Or you left town. In either case, you find yourself alone. Just you and your phone.
What could possibly go wrong?
If you find yourself alone for a few days, you need a plan. The Bible says, “A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself from it” (Proverbs 22:3).
Here is a suggested plan:
- No TV after 10 pm.
- Limit your social media use to one hour a day.
- Daily recovery meetings.
- Daily recovery calls.
- Complete a home project.
- Set your phone across the room.
When you are alone, you need a plan. If you don’t like the one I just presented, create a plan of your own.
Recovery Step: For the next time you are alone, create a plan.
