In the U.S., football is underway. Each year, 18 million of us crowd into stadiums to watch our favorite teams play. Another 100 million watch on television. And every one of us is convinced we could call plays better than the coaches for our team.
Legendary coach Bud Wilkinson once mused, “Each Saturday, our college football stadium is full of 80,000 fat slobs who scream at 22 finely tuned athletes for not doing a better job on the field.”
The funny thing is, only a fraction of us could ever get into the physical shape required to play in the NFL. But that shouldn’t keep us from being all we can be.
Rather than criticizing the ones on the field, start getting in shape yourself – physically, spiritually, financially, emotionally.
And in recovery
Recovery Step: “Anyone who knows the right thing to do, yet fails to do it, to him it is sin.”
