As a kid, I idolized Superman. Then there was Spider-Man. And Iron Man. And Hulk.
But there are other superheroes who don’t get enough recognition.
- Hindsight has the power to review a battle and tell his “guys” what they should have done in hindsight.
- Flatman has the power to become so flat that you can’t see him when he turns sideways.
- Skin has the unsettling power to stretch his skin an extra six feet.
- Fluff has the even more unsettling power to generate absurd amounts of bellybutton lint and change its chemical composition.
Do you ever wish you had a superpower? Maybe the power to say no to every temptation? The power to stay sober anytime you want? The power to overcome fantasy and lust? Or the power to never act out again?
I have good news. That very power lives inside of every believer. That power has a name.
The Holy Spirit.
Recovery Step: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you” (Acts 1:8). Call on the superpower who already lives within you.
