Legacy matters – a lot.
Start with your kids. If you want to have a legacy to be proud of, pour your life into your children. Walk in recovery, do the next right thing, and keep your kids front and center on your list of priorities.
Reggie Joiner is the founder of a wonderful organization called Orange. They empower parents and kids to live their best lives. Reggie suggests using a jar filled with marbles to make the point. When your child is born, fill a jar with 936 marbles. Then remove a marble every week, and that’s how many weeks are left until your child turns eighteen.
Paul said it succinctly: “Redeem the time” (Ephesians 5:16).
Recovery Step: Never take another day for granted, especially in the lives of your kids.
