We come to God for all of our needs: forgiveness, hope, peace, and recovery. But there is a much greater reward offered for those who seek God.
God himself.
Check out what God told Abraham in his time of need: “The word of the Lord came to Abraham in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid, Abraham. I am your shield, your very great reward’” (Genesis 15:1).
The great reward of seeking God is finding God. Everything else is a bonus.
A.W. Tozer said it much better than I ever could: “The man who has God for his treasure has all things in One.”
Recovery Step: Desire recovery, but seek God.
