Let’s consider the parable of the archer.
The archer pulls out an arrow and places it in his bow. Then he fires that arrow at a target the arrow cannot see. And the arrow is okay with that.
Like the arrow in the hand of the archer, you are secure in the hand of God. He has a perfect plan for your life. And he is aiming at a target you cannot see.
The lesson? Quit making knowledge of God’s will a prerequisite for doing God’s will. The Bible says, “It is the glory of God to conceal things” (Proverbs 25:2). Learn to be okay with that.
Recovery Step: There are three reasons you can trust God’s plan: (a) he can see what you can’t see, (b) he has been where you’ve not been, and (c) he will do what you can’t do. It’s the parable of the archer.
