“Write the vision, make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it” (Habakkuk 2:2).
That gem from the minor prophet has echoed through the chambers of time. Its message is timeless. Habakkuk is simply saying that once you get a clear vision of your destiny, you can sprint in the right direction with confidence.
Seneca said, “To the person who does not know where he wants to go there is no favorable wind.”
Let me offer three keys to a great vision:
- Destination: Where am I going?
- Purpose: Why am I doing this?
- Values: What principles do I live by?
Recovery Step: If you don’t have a clear vision for your future, commit your life to finding that vision. Then go for it, and never look back.
