Life is all about routine. A study by Duke University found that 45 percent of our behavior is automatic.
Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink, writes, “I have a new way of doing things, and I don’t care if you think I’m crazy.”
Sometimes, “a new way of doing things” is crazy. There are some routines we need to honor for life. Daniel, of Old Testament fame, provides an excellent example.
“Daniel got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously” (Daniel 6:10).
Recovery Step: You need to establish some recovery routines that will never change. Do them over and over, every single day.
