There is a small town in southeast Mississippi that was founded in the 1860s and has a current population of about 400 people. The name of the town?
Soso, Mississippi.
How did it get its name?
When the settlers found the place where they’d start the town, they looked at the soil and said, “It’s so-so.” When they considered the water supply, they concluded it was “so-so.” The small band of travelers concluded the entire area was just “so-so.” That became the name of the town: Soso.
I’m not making that up!
Now, that’s a cute story about a cute town. But that is no way to do life. And it is surely no way to do recovery. So-so won’t cut it. Solomon offered a better plan: “Whatever you do, do it with all your might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).
Recovery Step: If you are 90 percent in, you are 100 percent out. So-so isn’t good enough.
