“And the lookout shouted, ‘Day after day, my lord, I stand on the watchtower; every night I stay at my post’” (Isaiah 21:8).
In recovery, the prize goes to the man who stays at his post.
It’s not about doing something spectacular. It’s not about being named “Recovery Man of the Year.” It’s about staying at your post.
I love the way Charles Dickens said it: “I never could have done what I have done without diligence.”
What can you do to be diligent? What does it look like for you to “stay at your post”? What can you do in your recovery work – day after day – to establish a good recovery routine?
Recovery Step: Be diligent. Be consistent. Stay at your post.
