You can take God’s promises to the bank.
Imagine that I gave you a check for a thousand dollars. Would you withhold your thanks until the check cleared the bank? No, you would express gratitude right away, assuming the check wouldn’t bounce, based on what you know about my character.
God’s promises are better than our promises. When God says he will do something, you can take that to the bank.
Here are just a few of God’s promises:
- He will never leave you.
- Your salvation is secure.
- You can overcome every temptation.
Recovery Step: “Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).
