One day Jesus encountered a blind man named Bartimaeus. Then he asked Bart what seemed to be a really strange question.
“What is it that you want me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51).
The man’s need was pretty obvious. He wanted to regain his sight. But Jesus didn’t put words in his mouth; he wanted Bart to express his needs himself.
God longs to hear you do the same thing. Sure, he knows what you need; he just wants to hear it.
Take a moment right now to tell God what you need for:
- Your recovery
- Your health
- Your finances
- Your marriage
- Your kids
Allow your most obvious needs to drive you to your Lord in prayer.
Recovery Step: Take time to tell God your most obvious needs.
