A surgeon entered the waiting room of the hospital with shocking news for his patient’s family.
“Your loved one needs a brain transplant immediately,” he said.
The family asked, “How much does that cost?”
The doctor replied, “It all depends. A female brain goes for $20,000. A male brain costs $50,000.”
The family asked, “Why does the male brain cost so much more?”
The surgeon answered, “Because it has never been used.”
That’s how many men get into trouble. It is as simple as not using our brains. The Bible says, “Good sense is a fountain of life” (Proverbs 16:22).
So what does good sense say to a man who is willing to use his brain? I see four things.
- You need help.
- You need God.
- You need therapy.
- You need others.
Recovery Step: If you are mired in the pit of addiction, try this – use your brain.
