Muhammad Ali told anyone who would listen (and many who would not), “I’m the greatest.” You knew that. But here’s something you probably didn’t know. He started telling people that early in his career, before he really was the greatest.
You have to believe it – and say it – before you can do it.
The Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21).
Say it like you mean it: “I am who God says I am. I can do what God says I can do. I can stay sober for the rest of my life – one day at a time. I am free in Christ. I am no longer living in bondage, and nothing can hold me down. I am the child of the living God.”
Believe it. Say it. Then do it.
Recovery Step: Declare your sobriety today, and walk by faith. Don’t give an inch to the enemy.
