Have you heard of the “Knotts Prayer”?
Every day, I pray the 3rd Step Prayer, the 7th Step Prayer, and the Serenity Prayer. I know a lot of you who do the same thing. Perhaps we need to add another prayer to our routines. Join me in praying the “Knotts Prayer,” just one time. Here we go.
“Please untie the knots that are in my mind, my heart, and my life. Remove the have-nots, the can-nots, and the do-nots that I have in my mind. Erase the will nots, may nots, might nots that may find a home in my heart. Release me from the could-nots, would-nots, and should-nots that may obstruct my life. And most of all, I ask that you remove from my mind, my heart, and my life all of the am-nots that I have allowed to hold me back, especially the thought that I am not good enough.”
The Bible says, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8).
I love that verse. And now I love the “Knotts Prayer.”
Recovery Step: Pray the “Knotts Prayer” again right now!
