Don’t be defeated by your defeats. Defeats are inevitable, but being defeated by defeats is a choice you don’t have to make.
Tom Landry said, “Something constructive comes from every defeat.”
Zig Ziglar said it like this: “Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.”
Here’s the lesson – You can’t rewrite history, but you can write the next chapter.
The only relapse that will kill you is the one you choose to not learn anything from. Slips and relapse can be among our best instructors. When you fall, get up. When you fail, keep trying. When you are behind, stay in the game. Quit trying to have a better past. Look for the next hill to climb, battle to win, and chapter to write.
