Today’s subject is something you probably aren’t going to like. If you will risk it all – your reputation, time, and secrets – in order to chase after recovery, you will find it. Otherwise, you probably won’t.
Seneca said, “It’s not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It’s because we dare not venture that things are difficult.”
The Bible is clear. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ” (Colossians 3:23-24).
What I’m saying isn’t hard to understand, but it’s very hard to do. As I often say, if you are 90 percent in, you are 100 percent out. Colin Powell said it well. “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”
Recovery Step: Your job today isn’t to learn something you haven’t known before, but to do something you haven’t done before. Vince Lombardi said, “The price of success is hard work.” Vince Lombardi was right.
