I have a close friend who rides 12 miles a day on his bike, at age 70. I was pretty impressed with that until I read about Annie Cohen Kopchovsy.
Annie was a mother of three, living in Boston. While she enjoyed riding her bike, she wasn’t crazy about it. That all changed when a friend bet her $20,000 that she couldn’t ride her bike around the world.
On June 25, 1894, Annie took off on the ride of her life. Fifteen months later, Annie completed the ride and pocketed the money.
Around the world. That’s a long bike ride. It’s amazing to see how far we can go with the right motivation.
How far are you willing to go to stay in recovery?
Recovery Step: “Count the cost” (Luke 14:28). Then get after it.
